Lanchester Gallery Projects (LGP) at Coventry School of Art and Design is seeking to appoint a Marketing & Communications Assistant (MCA) to support its ambitious and innovative contemporary art operation. LGP is an International programme of exhibitions, publications, education and collaborations which promotes the development of research in contemporary art practice. LGP secured Arts Council England funding to support programming costs and the marketing and communications role until April 2014 and has recently moved into a magnificent city centre gallery. Working with the LGP Director and Research Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping to provide a high quality coordination service for the LGP operation.
Your role will be to support the development and installation of the programme and co-ordinate the marketing and communication activities.
You will be competent in the use of a range of computer packages, such as MS Office, and highly organised. Excellent communication skills and an ability to deal effectively with people and problems are also essential requirements for this role.
The successful candidate will have administrative experience and be able to demonstrate a knowledge and interest about contemporary art.
The postholder may be required to work flexibly and may occasionally include some evening and weekend work.
