Alison Steadman stars in the Rose Theatre, Kingston's new production of Michael Frayn's 1993 comedy Here 19 April-12 May. Zawe Ashton (from Channel 4's Fresh Meat) and Alex Beckett (of BBC Four's Olympics comedy Twenty Twelve) play a young couple whose adjustments to life together are steadily invaded by the woman who lives downstairs (Steadman). Steadman is immortal for her performance in Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party, but has also been notable in Blithe Spirit, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Shirley Valentine, Topsy Turvy and Gavin & Stacey, among other things. This is her Rose Theatre debut. The play is directed by Lisa Spirling.
