Van Dyke Parks, the lyricist on The Beach Boys’s legendary Smile, is to be the subject of a reissue campaign. Song Cycle (1968), Discover America (1972) and Clang of the Yankee Reaper (1975) , his first three solo albums, are reissued by the Bella Union label in June. He will be in the UK that month, playing London’s Barbican on 23 June with the Britten Sinfonia and as-yet unannounced special guests.
