High Court judge Mr Justice Arnold ruled today that UK internet service providers must block access to The Pirate Bay.
The infamous site - founded in Sweden and even boasting an affiliated political party there - has been a figurehead for the pro-piracy movement, unashamedly distributing free music and films for 8 years, calling itself "the galaxy's most resilient BitTorrent site".
The ruling states that Sky, Everything Everywhere, TalkTalk, O2 and Virgin Media must start restricting access within the next few weeks.
