Europe's newest arts festival has been announced – in Westport, County Mayo, in the west of Ireland. The inaugural event will take place over the weekend of 23-24 June this year in the grounds of the historic Westport House.

The organisers describe their family-friendly event as “a grown-up festival for music fans who treasure their record collections”, and more than 50 acts will appear on three stages over the two days, including Ray Davies, The Waterboys, Seasick Steve, Alison Moyet, The Chieftains, Nick Lowe, The Dubliners, Marc Almond and Hothouse Flowers.
