Matt Lucas turns pop video director
While David Walliams has been busy swimming the Thames Matt Lucas has not been idle. As well as presenting his own TV show, The Matt Lucas Awards, he has recently scripted and directed the pop video to accompany the new single from The Proclaimers, "Spinning Around in the Air".
The video is set in a Glasgow bungalow and features the Reid brothers taking a leaf out of the Little Britain star's penchant for cross-dressing and appearing as two elderly ladies. Lucas says of his directorial debut: “It’s my first, it might be my last as well. I had this idea to do this 50th anniversary party and shoot it as though it’s shot on home video. And there’s a punch going around this party that gets all these respectful senior citizens disgracefully drunk and uninhibited."
Watch the "Spinning Around in the Air" video here from Tuesday.
