Liz Fraser booked for Meltdown
The first group of artists booked to perform at this summer’s Meltdown Festival – curated by Antony Hegarty – have been announced. Drawing the lion’s share of attention is the inclusion in the line-up of the brilliant and reclusive Elizabeth Fraser. Although she has sung with Massive Attack, Craig Armstrong and Peter Gabriel in recent years, Fraser will be performing her first full live shows since she left the Cocteau Twins in 1998. She will play the Royal Festival Hall on August 6 and 7.
Other notable performers include Marc Almond, Diamanda Galas and Laurie Anderson. Meltdown runs from August 1-12 at Southbank Centre, London. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, May 8. Find full details of Meltdown.
