Marc Almond hits the road
After a relatively quiet period former Soft Cell frontman Marc Almond is currently going through one of his busiest periods since his eighties pop heyday. He recently appeared as the philosopher Seneca in the opera Pop'pea at the Paris Chatelet Musical Theatre and next Monday celebrates his 55th birthday with a retrospective show at the Shepherds Bush Empire. He returns to the capital again on 9th August when he appears as part of this year's Meltdown season at the South Bank Centre.
Fans in the UK outside London need not be disappointed either. Almond has just announced a national tour starting at Huddersfield Town Hall on 18th September and concluding at Bexhill's De La Warr Pavilion on 5th October.
