28 May-1 June: Following outstanding success with his latest so lo, DESH, award-winning dancer/choreographer Akram Khan returns to Sadler 's Wells with the London premiere of his much-anticipated new work, iTMOi , the second part of the A String of Rites series. iTMOi (in the mind ofigor) is Khan’s first full-length ensemble piece since Vertical Road in 20 10 and is inspired by the work of prolific composer Igor Stravinsky. Create d in the 100th year since Stravinsky’s iconic Le Sacre du Printemps (The Ri te of Spring) was composed, iTMOi explores the human condition and the wayin which Stravinsky transformed the classical music world by evoking emoti ons through pattern, rooted in the concept of a woman dancing herself to d eath.
