Tonight sees the world premiere of a double concerto written for Viktoria Mullova and Matthew Barley. Anticipate an unconventional concertante group and an element of improvisation. After the interval, a different kind of soundscape, as Ilan Volkov and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra realise the vast architectural design of Bruckner's Fifth Symphony.
