Unsigned acts announced for T in the Park festival
The 16 unsigned acts who have been given the chance to perform at Scotland's largest festival, T in the Park, have been announced.
The T-Break Stage, which has been running since 1996, launched the careers of acts including Paolo Nutini, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol - one of this year's headliners.
The acts chosen by industry experts from over 1,000 applications are:
- Anderson, McGinty, Webster, Ward and Fisher
- Bacchanal Party
- Beerjacket
- Blank Canvas
- Brown Bear and the Bandits
- Capitals
- Chris Devotion and the Expectations
- Crusades
- Davey Horne
- Nevada Base
- Open Swimmer
- Randolph's Leap
- Roman Nose
- TeKlo
- The Machine Room
- The Mirror Trap
George Kyle, head of sponsorship at Tennent's Lager which sponsors the stage, said the company had been "incredibly impressed" with the calibre of entries this year.
"The judging panel have been faced with a tough decision to whittle the acts down to just 16," he said. "There's evidently a wealth of talent in the Scottish grassroots music scene, and we're very proud to be able to support this through T Break."
