Stuart Schulberg’s film, shot in 1945-6, was not released anywhere but Germany, where it formed part of the Allied campaign of denazification. The original 35mm negative and underlying soundtracks were lost or destroyed, though a few prints survived. The complete 78-minute film, restored by the filmmaker’s daughter, Sandra Schulberg, will open exclusively at the Barbican on Friday 15 June. Sandra Schulberg will introduce all screenings, joined by various speakers: John & Ann Tusa; Geoffrey Robertson QC; William Schbabas; and Don Ferencz.
