The Barbican presents an unrivalled world class artistic programme across all art forms. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced arts administration professional to join the Arts Directorate to take up a newly created position of Arts Information Manager.
You will lead on projects assigned to you by the Director of Programming including research work, writing high-level business reports, identifying potential funding streams and completing funding applications. A big part of the role will be setting up and managing evaluation systems, as well as improving ways in which information is managed and disseminated within and across the Arts Departments within the Barbican Centre and between the Barbican and external organisations.
You will have substantial experience of high level administrative, policy or research work within the Arts sector. Your research skills and analytical thinking will be apparent in how you collect, analyze and present information, and draw relevant conclusions. You will be experienced in producing complex reports, and will have an ability to secure commitment from other parties whose contribution is required. Finally, you will present a creative and practical approach in finding solutions, identifying improvements and enhancing the operation of the Arts Division.
