Syllabus Development Administrator
Part time: 17.25 hours per week
Fixed term contract until January 2014
The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education, teaching, promoting and investing in the development of dance worldwide.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a part-time Syllabus Development Administrator (fixed term contract). Reporting to the Artistic Director, you will be responsible for the administration of each phase of the Academy’s Syllabus Development, including trial teaching, filming, tutor training and launches. You will also be the servicing officer for the Syllabus Development Working Group compiling written records of decisions taken and necessary action points.
You will need to have proven experience in an events organisation role within the arts sector and knowledge of the performing arts. A good working knowledge of Microsoft office, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, an ability to write accurate notes or minutes from meetings, exemplary interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders is essential.
Flexibility with regard to working hours is required as per the demands of the project including the need to work during evenings and weekends and possibly to travel outside of the London area.
An offer of employment in this position would be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
